Proposed Land Use

Ever drive around Seattle and notice these “Proposed Land Use Action” signs?

They get put up on properties where they’re planning (proposing?) to make some major change to notify the public and to allow public comment on the action while the official folks are making the decision. I finally got tired of trying to remember to “look this up” when I got back home and today I actually forced myself and did it. :)

This comes out of the Seattle Department of Planning & Development and is talked about in more detail on the Land Use Signs and Notices page.

But the best part is that you can look up any of these proposals and read about the disposition, approval conditions, etc! They’ve got a whole (searchable) database full of this stuff in the Land Use Information Bulletin (which you can also get emailed to you).
