Great opinion piece in the PI today by guest columnist Richard Olmstead, professior of biology at the UW<: http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/opinion/236793_inteldop.html

The basic gist of the column is that science education is all about the scientific method of theories and hypothesis that can be tested. Intelligent design relies not on proper theory and hypothesis, but rather on conjecture and faith — neither of which can be scientifically tested or verified. Therefore, Intelligent Design may be interesting (this is my add), but it has no place in science curriculum.
