Seattle (silently) Makes the News
It’s not indicated anywhere in the text around the photo (and given some of the other chaos that happened, it’s nowhere near as bad), but it was interesting to see this on MSN’s main page yesterday:
The photo backdrop for the “storms” story was not in Missouri, or Colorado, or the Southeast, or any of the other places bad stuff happened. This 60+ car pile-up happened about 45 mins East of Seattle, headed west, coming out of the mountain pass right near where Jodi and I go skiing (Snoqualmie Pass)!

This section of highway is a long, somewhat elevated, bridge structure that is (evidently) easily iced up when it suddenly gets cold and snowy. Took them hours to clean it up, according to the news last night.
